Privacy Policy

The short version
Snatch has no accounts. Your downloads are saved on your own device, not on our servers. We keep only the small amount of data needed to run the service and understand how it is used.
What we store on our servers
- Temporary media copies. When you download a video or MP3, we hold a temporary copy while the download completes. It is deleted as soon as your device confirms it has the file, and in any case after about 45 minutes.
- Files behind a share link. If you create a public share link, the file is kept on our server until the link expires (30 days by default) or you stop sharing it. Anyone who has the link can watch and download it.
- Download records. The link you pasted, the platform, the video title, whether it worked, and the file size, so we can fix problems and measure usage.
- Visit records. A random session identifier and a generated display name (like SwiftOtter482) that lets us see which downloads came from the same browser, your browser's user-agent text, an approximate country if our host provides one, and visit counts. Your IP address is never stored; we keep only a one-way, salted hash of it, used for rate limiting and counting unique visitors.
- Share link statistics. Views, downloads and reports for each share link.
What stays on your device
Your library, collections, favorites and settings are stored in your browser (IndexedDB and local storage). Clearing your browser data removes them. We cannot see or recover them.
Cookies
We use one first-party session cookie so the site can recognise your browser, show you only your own downloads, and apply limits. We do not use advertising cookies ourselves.
Third parties
- Google Fonts serves the fonts used on this site, so your browser contacts Google's font servers.
- Platforms you download from (TikTok, X, YouTube, Snapchat) receive our server's request for the video you asked for.
- Advertisers. The site may show an ad pop-up. If you tap it you leave Snatch and the advertiser's own policy applies.
We do not sell your data
We do not sell personal data and we do not build advertising profiles.
Your choices
You can delete your library at any time from My Library, stop any share link from the Shared tab, and clear your browser data to remove the session cookie.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new date.
